Midweek Musings

Happy almost Friday Londoners! It’s been a super fast week for us at TAL (always good) here’s some interesting reads.

– TAL fave Idris Elba took to the decks at Paradise By Way of Kendal Green last Friday with his band Wallace 7. Check out our video clip on Instagram ‘theartfullondoner’. Obviously I took the opportunity to get a kiss from the future Mr Bond. It was a good Friday.

– The Tower of London will next month host the Game of Thrones season premiere, this will be the first time since the show began that it is held in Europe. Stars will walk the red carpet surrounded by the landmarks ravens, the birds that play a key part in the shows storyline. New series hits UK TV on April 13th – I need to finish reading!

– Fast food chain Burger King rolled out their pilot home delivery service today. Three East London stores are trialling the service to local areas in a bid to bring it to the rest of London. Personally, we know there are better places to get a home delivered burger but, a 2am Burger King delivery wouldn’t go amiss on some occasions!

– Danny Dyer has been taking over the role of tube announcer at Bromley-By-Bow station this morning. The takeover coincides with the 30th anniversary of London’s top soap EastEnders which tonight sees a live episode to conclude one of the soaps most advertised storylines.

– Kung Hei Fat Choy! (Happy Chinese New Year!) The year of the sheep begins today and we’ll be publishing our top 5 places to enjoy the celebrations (and food) this weekend in our Friday Feels which launches tomorrow. Super exciting!
